About Justin Firestone
A longtime executive in the private jet industry, Justin Firestone has served as founding partner of Wheels Up since 2012. Under his guidance, this tech-powered firm acquired a fleet of approximately 100 aircraft mainly comprised of Beechcraft King Air 350i twin turboprops, which are also known as “flying SUVs” for their capacity as well as Cessna Citation jets. Justin Firestone heads Wheels Up’s South Florida office, which facilitates flights amongst its growing client base of corporations and individuals.
Concurrently to his role at Wheels Up, Justin Firestone has served as managing director of the Firestone Management Group, Inc. in Miami, Florida. Since establishing the firm in 2011, he has provided advisory services to private jet companies that are working towards entry into the growing Asia-Pacific markets. In this capacity, Mr. Firestone and his team provide the groundwork that these organizations need to pursue this goal, helping them improve everything from marketing endeavors to management practices. His prior experience includes roles at Asia Jet and Marquis Jet.
Aside from his work in the realm of private aviation, Mr. Firestone formerly worked in marketing, operations and media relations for some of the biggest names in the professional sports industry. Between 1991 and 1999, he served the National Football League, the Miami Heat, the Phoenix Suns, and USA Basketball. Since 2006, Mr. Firestone has held minority ownership of the Arizona Diamondbacks.
